I have stumbled over this point multiple times. Could ‘like’ mean I’d like to comment but I don’t like your struggle or pain or opinion?

Beats me. The way “like” is used, especially on Facebook, simply baffles me.

I know what you mean. Do I “like” it when someone has a death in the family? I actually saw that many comments related to someone’s death were “liked.” I think I am more literal than the FB designers. And WordPress.
