When I started this blog in 2012, I was gradually changing my preferred artistic medium, from acrylics on canvas, to software which manipulates electrons and photons. It’s still fun to pick up a paintbrush from time to time, though, and this is what I painted the last time I did that, in early June, 2016.

Although I have not yet seen it in person, this painting is based on images I have seen of Delicate Arch, in Utah’s Arches National Park.

I thought I would try to paint a migraine headache, and a few years ago, I did so, and painted this. I then fell asleep, and woke up, with, of course, a migraine.
This is one of my earliest paintings (2002), and I painted it when very depressed. It was around this time that I noticed that painting improved my mood, so I kept painting more.
